Trambience is an acoustic adventure on a restored tram in Christchurch, New Zealand. In celebration of public transport and discovery through aimless traveling, Trambience transforms the familiar private ritual of listening to music in the car into a communal audio experience.

The trambient tram adds a new musical dimension to the streets of central Christchurch, cruising amongst the car stereos spilling out drumnbass, hiphop, trance and rock.

Onboard performances by local and international sound artists and experimental musicians are inspired by the life on the streets around them, and the urban sounds themselves become part of the performance, along with the tram's own rumble, rattle, and bells.
